APL TAIPEI Day 2: Continued Strong Performances from Korean Players ()

Day 2 of the APL TAIPEI series, held at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan, has concluded, and Korean players continued to show impressive performances.
On the second day of the series, two additional flights of the APL Kick Off event were held in the morning and afternoon. In addition, the High Roller Single Day event took place. A Freezeout event (with no re-entry) and the Queens event, dedicated to female players, were also held.
Among these, Korean player Seungwon Lee claimed victory in the #9 Freezeout event. He defeated Indonesian player Beng Hong Ker in heads-up play to win the trophy and a first-place prize of NT$108,872.
In another highlight, Korean player Sungwoo Hong won the #13 Speed Racer event, earning NT$68,352 along with the trophy.
In the women’s event, #12 Queens, Korean players Soyeon Kim and Nari Kim reached the final table. Notably, Taiwanese influencer and female poker player Hua Wei Lin also made it to the final table.
Ultimately, Taiwanese player Meining Feng emerged victorious, taking home NT$50,676 and the trophy.
As previously mentioned, two of the four Day 1 flights for the APL Kick Off were played on this day. Day1C, which began at 11 a.m., drew 180 entries, with 27 players (15% of the field) advancing to Day 2. Day1D recorded 132 entries, with 20 players moving on to Day 2. In total, the event saw 505 entries, with 76 players progressing to Day 2.
Day 2 is scheduled for June 9 at 11 a.m.
At 12 p.m., the #8 High Roller Single Day II event saw Hong Kong's Wai Kit Law emerge as the champion, earning NT$279,840 and the trophy.
In the #10 PLO Bombpot Single Board event, Kelvin Leung of Hong Kong won NT$30,759 and the trophy. Meanwhile, in the #11 Limit Triple Draw Lowball Mix event, Norwegian player Gunnar Wedde claimed victory and received NT$72,648 along with the trophy.
In the #14 High Roller Hyper Turbo event, Hong Kong’s Dicky Siu Hang earned NT$168,500 and the trophy. In the #15 Late Night Madness event, Taiwanese player Yi Lung Tsai secured the title and took home NT$54,067 and the trophy.
On Day 3 of the series, June 9, the APL Kick Off Day 2 will take place, and the final winner of the event will be determined. In addition, the Mystery Bounty event will begin with two separate flights, and other events such as the High Roller Single Day and Win The Button are also scheduled.
